Workers' Comp: Guarantee or Benefit?

The House of Representatives voted unanimously to pass HB3362, which gave Homecare workers assurance of Workers Compensation as a guarantee rather than a benefit to be bargained every two years.
This is yet another milestone in our union's advocacy for the rights of workers and the people they serve.

Homecare workers saw the injustice of having to bargain for something that is a commonplace right for nearly every other workforce. They advocated for change and this bill's passage is concrete evidence that politics is union business.

Thanks to everyone who had a hand in last November's election. Without that work, we probably wouldn't have even seen this bill get a public hearing in committee.

The bill now goes to the Senate.
