Citizen Action for Political Action
CAPE is a voluntary political contribution.
By joining CAPE, you are supporting lawmakers who support the issues that are important to working people and our families.
This is the most important step we can take since our victories are directly linked to our ability to elect people who support our services.
The best part is, your CAPE contribution qualifies as an Oregon Tax credit, which means you get the money back at tax time. This is a great way to support our services and our jobs, and it doesn’t cost a thing. (Up to$50 filing single, and $100 filing joint.)
Raise Your Voice. You have a story to tell and a role to play.
Members have led a number of legislative campaigns: Homecare workers’ compensation, highway safety, better protection for abused and neglected kids. Front line workers led the fight and made the difference.
What do you see on the job that needs to be changed? Are the privatizers ripping off the system? Are budget cuts being proposed that are penny-wise and pound foolish? No one knows better than front-line workers how to improve public services.
Contribute to CAPE.
If you like the results in this report and want to be a part of continuing to move Oregon forward, give to CAPE. If you already give, please give more.
Elected officials stood up to some powerful special interests with deep pockets. They stood up to the drug companies, hospitals, insurance companies, bankers, privatizers, and lobbyists seeking tax loopholes to avoid paying their fair share for the services Oregonians rely on.Your contribution goes to elect men and women who share our values.
We cannot compete dollar for dollar with the big corporations, but what we give can help our allies win. We can put them over the top when we help out knocking on doors, making phone calls, giving them resources and educating our co-workers about pro-working family candidates.
We need you to speak up to continue to make change!
