July 23, 2007 - Despite late-hour bargaining in search of a settlement, in two days of mediation we were unable to reach agreement with OUS management over our remaining issues.

June 27, 2007 - With the June 30 expiration date of our contract looming, bargaining at Portland State University yielded unexpected progress in some areas. However, our pay would still not keep pace with inflation and our health benefits would erode under the State's current offer.
On April 17 we made it easier for essential workers unable to work due to inclement weather. We also heard a compelling presentation from Food Service Workers, among the working poor of State employees.
Apr 10, 2007 - In the last round of bargaining we won language to force OUS to do a classification study for Office Specialists.
